Copper Wire Mesh Definition

Copper Wire Mesh Definition

Copper Wire Mesh available in three different materials: brass wire mesh, red copper wire mesh, phosphor bronze wire mesh.

Brass wire mesh belong to non-ferrous metal alloy and containing copper and zinc. Brass wire mesh provides added abrasion resistance and higher tensile strengths harden mesh than copper wire mesh

Red copper wire mesh is made of 99.96% pure copper wire (also called pure copper mesh). Copper wire mesh is ductile, malleable and has high thermal and electrical conductivity. It is softer than a similar stainless steel wire mesh, it is also resistant to atmospheric corrosion but attacked by oxidizing agents such as nitric acid, ferric chloride, and cyanides, and ammonia acids compounds.

Phosphor bronze wire mesh is made of copper, zinc, tin and phosphorous.Bronze woven wire mesh is superior to brass wire mesh in resistance to atmospheric corrosion compared to a copper woven wire mesh, bronze wire mesh is harder and less malleable.
