Mesh media for tubes production mainly includes woven mesh, perforated metal and expanded metal
Perforated metal is made from sheet & plate that has been punched with holes. They are typically used to remove larger particles in the range of 1.0 mm to 3.0 mm in size.
Woven mesh is made from wire formed into a grid arrangement. They are typically used to remove smaller particles as the wire used can be very fine. Woven mesh can remove particle sizes down to 40 micron, however ‘standard’ mesh screens typically remove particle sizes in the range of 0.4 mm to 1.0 mm.
Expanded metal is being slit and stretched by punching machines, forming into various hole patterns. It has sturdy construction and more rigid and solid than the wire mesh filter tubes.
